About The Position

Michels Corporation is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide day-to-day administrative support to the Risk Department under direct supervision. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and provide excellent customer service. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of the department and supporting high-impact projects within the company's infrastructure improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0 to 3 years of related administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
  • A high level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with project management tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all health, safety and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Assist with claims handling and investigation.
  • Set up new claims, prepare required letters, and ensure claim information is accurately entered into the claims processing system.
  • Analyze claims records and resolve deficiencies under direction from management.
  • Perform transactional data entry into systems with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Scan, organize, and file documentation.
  • Coordinate receipt of police reports.
  • Establish, develop, maintain, and update filing system.
  • Retrieve information from files when needed.
  • Provide administrative support to department: schedule meetings, process mail, assist with correspondence, make copies, maintain standard department materials, and manage distribution.
  • Maintain department procedures and process documentation.
  • Maintain department equipment, appearance, and cleanliness.
  • Other duties as assigned.
