About The Position

The Administrative Assistant in Human Resources (HR) serves as the primary point of contact for individuals visiting the Department, performs administrative tasks, and provides support to ensure the efficient operation of the organization’s HR division.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships and establish credibility with all levels of employees in the organization.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook, or related software.
  • Ability to manage several projects with multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One (1) year of documented administrative experience in an office/ professional environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Education : Associate’s or higher degree.
  • HR Expertise : Direct experience in an HR administrative/ support role.
  • Industry Experience : Prior experience within an educational environment (Higher Ed or K-12).
  • Bilingual Skills : Fluency in Spanish, Khmer, or Portuguese is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for employees, students, and visitors who visit the Human Resources Division, providing professional interaction and high-quality customer service.
  • Provide administrative support to all functional areas within the Human Resources Team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Human Resources files, records, and documentation.
  • Answer telephone calls, respond to email inquiries, and route to the appropriate individuals while providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of Human Resource files and records.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and/or the Director of Employee Relations | Title IX Coordinator.
  • Provide back-up to the Executive Administrative Assistant and the Benefits Coordinator in the performance of duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
