About The Position

This Administrative Assistant is a key member of the Creative/Production group within the Music department specializing in production, creative, and budgetary areas of the film-music processes. This position will report to the EVP, Film Music.

Requirements

MS Word and Excel proficiency
Apple Music (and music apps, generally) and Mac proficiency
Minimum 2 years’ experience working in music for a motion picture or television studio, production company, music label, composer, or music supervisor.

Responsibilities

Phones, scheduling, expense reports, booking travel, and other administrative duties as needed.
Key part of maintaining work flow of the department
Support the executives to collaboratively and intuitively handle a variety of “spillover” work: music research, soundtrack marketing, source/song music searches, temp-score research, interfacing with key contacts at record labels, publishers, artists, writers, musicians, music production companies, composer agencies, etc.
Research song info to complete clearance forms for licensing department
Help update and manage film music budgets and song breakdown reports
Oversee all music downloads and the organization of the department’s music drive
Organize and distribute assets to filmmakers, executives and music editors as needed
