About The Position

We are hiring immediately for a full time ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (DIET CLERK) position. Requirements

  • 1 year of previous HR and diet clerk experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Distributes and collects menus.
  • Assists patients in completing menu selections in compliance with prescribed diet, as assigned by dietitian.
  • Offers alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet in accordance with food allergies or sensitivities, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences when patient inquires or needs additional selections.
  • Plans regular and modified menus based on current diet manual.
  • Prepares and distributes supplements, tube feedings, and enteral formula in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Answers telephones and directs inquiries in a professional and client-centric manner.
  • Maintains confidential personnel files.
  • Assists management staff in preparing confidential employment and labor relations documents, including but not limited to proposed disciplinary notices.
  • Assists with staffing, including finding staff when employees call out on short notice.
  • Works effectively and maintains good working relationships with co-workers, school personnel, administrators, student's parents and Supervisor.
  • Completes and maintains accurate and up-to-date records of students eligible for free and reduced priced lunches if applicable.
  • Enters weekly cash sales and meal counts using computer.
  • Performs daily bank deposit reconciliation.
  • Processes vendor invoices for payment - using computer, making sure addition is correct and checking item prices against bid specifications, making sure there is no discrepancy in pricing.
  • Performs monthly vendor statement reconciliation.
  • Prepares monthly state claim form for reimbursement.
  • Assists in preparation of end of month financial reports.
  • Attends in-service and/or safety meetings as required.
  • Maintains clean and safe work environment; ability to perform job safely.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
