About The Position

The Cedarville University School of Education and Social Work invites applications for an Administrative Assistant and Coordinator of Program Improvement. This is a full-time (2080-hours), non-exempt, staff position. This mission-critical role coordinates program assessment, reaccreditation efforts, and manages office needs in the Department of Social Work. This position is responsible for drafting the self-study submitted to the Counsel on Social Work Education (CSWE) for the purpose of re-accreditation. Additionally, the role plans and executes department events, coordinates continuing education workshops, and administers the Intern Placement Tracking (IPT) software in support of student field experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, or a related field
  • Two to three years of administrative, academic-program, assessment, accreditation, or similar professional experience
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to draft reports, correspondence, and accreditation materials
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and accurately report data
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google, databases, and web-based information systems
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, records, and events
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and sound judgment
  • Effective interpersonal and customer-service skills with all campus constituencies and external organizations
  • Ability to effectively supervise student employees and coordinate their work assignments

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative and operational support for the Department of Social Work and its leadership team by coordinating schedules, meetings, communications, records, events, purchasing, budget tracking, and managing daily office activities.
  • Maintaining student, faculty, curricular, and department records.
  • Supervising and hiring student employees.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for the department.
  • Coordinating program assessment, continuous improvement, and accreditation activities under the direction of academic leadership.
  • Collecting and analyzing assessment data and maintaining required standards.
  • Preparing reports, curriculum maps, and self-study materials.
  • Supporting field education, program admission, continuing education, regulatory compliance, and related systems.
  • Coordinating with internal and external partners.
