About The Position

The Administrative Assistant- Summer Student for our Accounting department will be responsible for the processing of new customer credit applications, maintaining credit files and customer accounts. They will also act as a liaison to other divisions within the company and will build strong business relationships with customers, vendors and intercompany partners. This position reports directly to the Manager. The Administrative Assistant will provide support to our employees and managers, assist in daily office needs and provide exceptional customer support to our clients.

Requirements

  • Well organized and able to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with commercial and/or consumer credit
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
  • Experience with account reconciliation
  • Proficiency with Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Construction Industry experience would be an asset
  • Bilingual French/English would be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer relations while keeping a positive attitude both within the branch and in face-to-face experiences with customers
  • Perform assigned tasks with attention to detail and effectively organize all documentation within Systematics
  • Work effectively within a team environment
  • Perform administrative duties, such as filing, responding to customer inquiries, and organizing reports
  • Facilitate customer calls and walk-ins, including sourcing equipment and supplies, as well as coordinating and securing deliveries
  • Assist team in maintaining a presentable and welcoming branch for our customers
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Maintain computer and manual filing systems
  • Assist in the preparation of reports
  • Prepare and submit expense reports
  • Prepare invoices
  • Perform other duties assigned
