About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine Dean's Office is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 4. This position provides advanced administrative, operational, and facilities management support to the Senior Associate Dean of Administration and Finance and the Office of Business Operations and Finance. The Administrative Assistant 4 will be responsible for complex executive support functions including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, financial and purchasing processes, project coordination, communications management, and serve as the primary coordinator for School of Medicine space planning, utilization, facilities operations, and building management activities across academic, research, clinical, and administrative locations. This position will act as a liaison with university departments, external partners, facilities, real estate, environmental health and safety, and other stakeholders to support strategic planning, facility maintenance, space allocation, operational initiatives, provide project management and committee support, develop and maintain operational procedures, prepare reports and presentations, and exercises independent judgment in resolving operational, facilities, and administrative issues.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: providing administrative/program support to professional staff and management; performing secretarial duties in support of a manager; coordinating communications between the manager, staff and program clientele; supervision of subordinate staff; researching information from internal and external sources.
  • One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Responsibilities
