About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 3 in the Department of Physical Therapy, Kinesiology, in the School of Public Health. This position will provide fiscal support by monitoring expenses, prepare annual budget requests, generate financial reports, coordinate travel arrangements, process pcard transactions, and maintain a working knowledge of university financial processes and systems. The Administrative Assistant 3 will also provide HR support by coordinating searches, initiate Workday transactions, oversee the completion of new hires, prepare payroll documents, oversee operations, aid students by being the first point of contact, coordinate the department Director’s calendar, explain university policies, assist with college events, coordinate class schedules for all department programs with the department chair and faculty, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities
  • One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above
