About The Position

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is recruiting for a full-time, Administrative Assistant 3 for the Child Care Center. Under direct supervision responsibilities include but are not limited to; data responsibilities, program forms and records, billing, invoices, use of Workday for payroll and AP/AR, maintaining form & records, and supervision of AA1, Food Service worker and student employees, greet visitors and answer telephone inquiries in a courteous and professional manner, provide general program information, remain knowledgeable in State of NV Child Care Licensing laws, licensing. This position requires being able to work in a child care office environment which is often fast-paced, multitasking, stimulating, often loud setting that requires balancing administrative duties with the immediate needs of children, families and staff. This position may work in the infant, toddler or preschool classrooms directly with children and in the kitchen setting for snack prep, etc. for short periods of time as needed.

Requirements

  • graduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above
  • Current CPR & First Aid training
  • FBI background check and fingerprinting every 5 years
  • TB test every 2 years
  • Experience working with young children in a group setting
  • Ability to meet all State of Nevada Child Care Licensing requirements/regulations and to complete all Nevada Registry required trainings
