About The Position

Assists the head of a Bureau or Service in a state department, institution, or agency by performing and coordinating administrative support services: does other related work. Specific to the Position Draft, edit, and track the execution of Simple Sending Plans, Project Partnership Agreements, and State Aid Agreements while reviewing budgets and resource allocations. Review office operations and standard operating procedures (SOPs) and recommend process improvements, including the use of new technologies, improved workflows, and enhanced data sharing. Represent AD as needed. Align DEP priorities. Create, track, and ensure completion of HARP actions. Create and track expenditures such as blankets, O&M costs, capital expenditures, cost-shares and mortgages, and associated funding sources. Create digital distributions. Schedule meeting with outside agencies. Track workflows and associated tasks for various project completions from inceptions through closeout.

Requirements

  • Applicants must meet one of the following or a combination of both experience and education. Thirty (30) semester hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in a business or government agency providing administrative support services and/or coordinating work activities.
  • Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and one (1) year of the above-mentioned professional experience.
  • Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • All persons newly hired on or after September 1, 2011, have one year from the date of employment to establish, and then maintain principal residence in the State of New Jersey subject to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L.2011, Chapter 70), also known as the “New Jersey First Act”.
  • Selected candidates must be authorized to work in the United States per the Department of Homeland Security, United States Citizenship, and Immigration Services regulations.
