About The Position

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) offers a career opportunity within the Child & Family Services, Regional Offices. This position is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support services to Child and Family Services social workers concerning foster care, investigative, and licensing functions. The mission of DPHHS is to serve Montanans in their communities to improve health, safety, well-being, and empower independence. Requirements

• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
• Skill in researching
• Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
• Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment as necessary to complete essential functions, including using spreadsheet, word processing, database, email, internet and other computer programs
• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Two years of job related work experience in administrative support, receptionist or other related areas

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the social services systems related to child protection issues

Responsibilities

• Typing correspondence, forms, and other miscellaneous documents
• Maintaining and updating Foster Care and other child related records
• Assisting staff with maintaining demographic information
