The Administrative and Program Assistant-GDP is responsible for coordinating office and program services and performing a variety of tasks including clerical functions to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of the office and program. This is a part-time, in-office position averaging 20 hours per week, requiring weekend work. Community-based travel is also required. The role involves greeting guests/residents/clients, answering telephones, taking messages, responding to routine inquiries, and making outside contacts. Responsibilities include composing and typing routine correspondence, reports, and documents, preparing/typing minutes and reports, assisting in research, statistical gathering and analysis, maintaining systems to track data for assigned staff, and maintaining files and records following prescribed procedures. The position requires upholding the mission and values of VOA of Illinois at all times.
