The Administrative Analyst is responsible for coordinating office activities, performing financial tasks, researching and preparing special reports, and developing, revising, recommending administrative policies and procedures as directed by the supervisor, and performing general office duties. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Requirements

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
  • At least one year of office administrative work
  • Other job related education and/or experience my be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements
  • Knowledge of computers and software applications
  • Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information and reports
  • Ability to research and analyze related work program information
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures
  • Ability to analyze financial records and prepare reports
  • Must be customer-service-driven and have the ability to multitask.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality customer service in a courteous, professional, and timely manner, perform tasks such as but not limited to, serving as office point person greeting and directing visitors, as well as responding to internal and external calls and questions
  • Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, reports, and other correspondence
  • Follow established University and Facilities Management policies and procedures
  • Perform financial tasks in support of the units served
  • Compile financial information used by supervisor to formulate budget reports and proposals and monitors expenditures within the annual budget
  • Serves as office supervisor in charge of office vendor relationships, purchasing and reimbursement procedures, and office supply needs
  • Coordinate and schedules travel, meetings, and appointments for managers or supervisors
  • Maintain and update directories and catalogs
  • Assist staff with writing and printing projects
  • Perform general office duties
  • Other duties as assigned
