About The Position

Accura Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Administrative Accountant to join our Corporate Office in Atlanta, GA. This position provides accounting and administrative support to multiple departments within a growing engineering consulting firm. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and proactive, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative accounting experience.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and administrative practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take initiative.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, invoices, reconciliations, and expense reporting preferred.
  • Experience supporting day-to-day administrative office operations, including answering and directing phone calls, managing records and documents, coordinating office activities, and providing administrative support to multiple departments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Accounts Payable, invoice, and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Support timesheet administration and payroll-related processes.
  • Reconcile monthly corporate credit card statements and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Review, process, and track employee expense reports.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist with general accounting activities.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently.
  • Provide administrative support to various departments as needed.
  • Assist with special projects, reporting, and other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy when handling financial and employee information.
  • Support efforts to improve office and accounting processes and efficiencies
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
