About The Position

The successful candidate will join AtkinsRéalis, within the Project Procurement and Subcontract Management team. They will be primarily assigned to the Blue Line Extension project, carried out on behalf of the Société de transport de Montréal (STM). As such, they will play a key role in the contractual management of major infrastructure projects, in close collaboration with internal AtkinsRéalis teams, the STM, and various external partners.

Requirements

  • University degree in administration, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in contract administration for construction projects, particularly in sectors related to infrastructure (architecture, civil engineering, structural, mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, automation, etc.) or specialized industrial equipment (e.g., tracks, motorized installations, TCPE, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Unifier software.
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations, including STM Regulation R-175.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and lead administrative kickoff meetings with contractors (notice of meeting, agenda, minutes, logistics, etc.).
  • Plan and conduct administrative follow-up meetings, both internally and with contractors.
  • Analyze and monitor administrative deliverables listed in the deliverables register (list of subcontractors, insurance, bonds, etc.).
  • Participate in weekly site meetings (attendance required on site) and project team meetings, as needed.
  • Manage contractual modifications and conduct negotiations with contractors, in compliance with STM Regulation R-175 and internal processes.
  • Process and analyze progress payments and invoices, and prepare monthly reconciliations and required reports.
  • Process subcontractor denunciations and releases from contractors and their subcontractors.
  • Prepare official correspondence in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage contractual disputes and claims.
  • Plan and conduct supplier performance evaluations.
  • Participate in recommendations for achieving contractual milestones, issue provisional and final acceptance certificates, and ensure the release of associated payments and holdbacks.
  • Contribute to various contractual processes, including processing requests for derogation, applying penalties, and managing special holdbacks.
  • Participate in the analysis of contractual execution issues and contribute to the implementation of solutions in collaboration with internal experts.
  • Monitor project progress by keeping tracking logs and performance indicators (KPIs) up to date.
