Requirements
- BSN required
- Current license in NY state as a registered Professional Nurse.
- National Certification required or obtained within 6 months.
- Five(5) years of clinical experience with two ( 2) years of management and supervisory experience required.
- Critical Care experience
- BLS American Heart Association
- Requires team management skills and a problem solving attitude.
- Must be capable of independent judgment and critical analysis related to urgent patient care and clinical issues.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree preferred.
- Experience as RN manager, supervisor, or charge preferred.
Responsibilities
- Visits all Patient Care rounds to assess Patient care requirements and completes the daily supervision communication form.
- Identifies role to family, Physicians, staff and other departments.
- Responds in emergency situations including RRTs and codes and ensures that only appropriate clinical staff are present and expedite any needed resources, tests and procedures.
- Debriefs and analyzes the situation, completes documentation on debrief form and bring forth issues to the code committee.
- Able to ensure smooth operation through day to day management and planning.
- Maintains a positive attitude with attention to details.
- Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations.
