About The Position

A regional acute care medical center is seeking an Administrative Director of Surgical Services to oversee perioperative operations and provide strategic leadership for a growing surgical services department. This leadership position partners with hospital executives, physicians, and clinical teams to promote operational excellence, high-quality patient care, and continued service line growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Director of Surgical Services required.
• At least three years of progressive acute care surgical services experience required.
• Strong leadership, financial management, and operational planning skills.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and administrative leadership for Surgical Services, including the Operating Room, Sterile Processing, Pre-Op, PACU, GI, and Pre-Admission Testing.
• Lead and support department managers while overseeing daily operations, staffing, scheduling, and resource planning.
• Monitor departmental performance, budgets, and operational metrics, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership to strengthen existing surgical programs and identify opportunities for service expansion.
• Promote evidence-based clinical practices that support patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance.
• Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Support workforce development through coaching, accountability, and staff engagement initiatives.
