About The Position

This position is for an Adjunct Instructor to teach ECE 446: Teaching Science in Early Childhood Classrooms (Pre K-3). The instructor will be the primary instructor for this course within the early childhood education program. The candidate must be available to teach on-campus daytime classes and meet university standards for conduct and dress. This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Degree must be in elementary education or early childhood education, science education, or a related field.
  • The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Expertise in science education at elementary and/or early childhood education levels.
  • Successful experience as a licensed K-12 public school classroom teacher, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate MUST be available to teach on-campus daytime classes (8am-4pm).
  • Must attach updated curriculum vitae, cover letter, and Mission Alignment Statement to the faculty application.
  • This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities
