About The Position
The Department of Sport Business, housed in the LeBow College of Business (an AACSB-accredited institution), is seeking an adjunct faculty member. LeBow offers doctorate, MBA, and undergraduate degrees, with the Department offering a BSBA major in Sport Business and an MS in Sport Business. The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for fostering student learning and discussion, encouraging active learning, maintaining course-related records, evaluating student work, and providing feedback on progress towards course objectives. The role involves implementing the mission of the LeBow College of Business and may include teaching days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with potential for online only, in-person only, or hybrid instruction.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Master's Degree, J.D or Ph.D.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.
Responsibilities
- Instruct graduate and undergraduate courses in Sport Business.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students regarding career pathways and professional development within the sport industry.
- Teach the required number of credit hours per term based on the contract.
- Evaluate student achievement of curricular objectives and learning outcomes.
- Schedule two office hours per week for student availability, if applicable.
- Schedule administrative time for classroom preparation.
