About The Position

Florida SouthWestern State College is seeking an Adjunct Professor for the CREATIVE Capstone course. This course is a culminating General Education experience focused on applied transdisciplinary learning. Students, with assistance from classmates, professors, and librarians, will design and execute a significant project throughout the semester. The faculty member's role includes mentoring students from topic selection to the final artifact and collaborating with an embedded faculty librarian. CREATIVE Capstone faculty will receive training and certification before their first semester teaching the course.

Requirements

• Doctoral or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the teaching discipline or a master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline)
• Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content
• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught and currency in the discipline

Responsibilities

• Mentoring students through their project from topic selection to final artifact.
• Collaboration with an embedded faculty librarian.
