About The Position

The University of the District of Columbia seeks an Adjunct Professor to teach undergraduate courses in the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. UDC is a public, urban, land-grant HBCU committed to accessible, high-quality education and preparing students to serve diverse communities in the District of Columbia.

Requirements

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program.
  • Minimum two years of post-MSW professional experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned BSW courses (e.g., practice, policy, HBSE, research, Practicum).
  • Deliver instruction aligned within CSWE competencies and program learning outcomes.
  • Support student learning through inclusive, culturally responsive teaching.
  • Provide timely grading, feedback, and communication.
  • Maintain course records and adhere to BSW program and university policies.
  • Participate in required orientations and program meetings as needed.
