About The Position
The University of the District of Columbia seeks an Adjunct Professor to teach undergraduate courses in the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. UDC is a public, urban, land-grant HBCU committed to accessible, high-quality education and preparing students to serve diverse communities in the District of Columbia.
Requirements
- Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program.
- Minimum two years of post-MSW professional experience.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor diverse student populations.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned BSW courses (e.g., practice, policy, HBSE, research, Practicum).
- Deliver instruction aligned within CSWE competencies and program learning outcomes.
- Support student learning through inclusive, culturally responsive teaching.
- Provide timely grading, feedback, and communication.
- Maintain course records and adhere to BSW program and university policies.
- Participate in required orientations and program meetings as needed.
