About The Position

Responsible to prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to the college's core values, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field. Meet professional standards for faculty in accordance with college policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in any discipline and hold a current healthcare certification/licensure (e.g. as a Paramedic, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Registered Nurse, Registered Respiratory Therapist, Certified Surgical Technologist, Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technician, etc.) OR Doctoral degree in Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine or Chiropractic
  • In accordance with Texas Education Code §51.992, this position is designated for in-person work at a campus or other location of Collin College.
  • All candidates should expect to perform duties on-site.
  • Conferred transcripts, licenses, and certifications MUST be attached to the application.
  • Faculty applications that do not have the appropriate transcripts attached will be deemed incomplete and will not be considered.

  • Teaching experience is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director.
  • Teaching assignments may be on one or more of the college's campuses or off-site locations and may include evening and weekend programs.
  • May include Dual Credit courses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and core values.
