About The Position

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is searching for adjunct faculty who have an interest and expertise in teaching lower and upper division chemistry courses. These positions are available for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. All positions are contingent upon budget appropriations.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in any sub-discipline of Chemistry (including organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, or biochemistry) or relevant field.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Submit a cover letter and a detailed resume including a statement of teaching interests and experience, and names/contact information of two references.
  • Include a description of weekly schedule availability during each semester in the cover letter.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous teaching experience.
  • Favorable recommendations from references.

Responsibilities

  • Teach lower and upper division chemistry courses.

Benefits

  • Minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught.
  • Maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year.
