Adjunct Pool - Instructors in Physics
About The Position
The Department of Chemistry and Physics in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College invites applications for an adjunct (per-course) faculty position for lecture and/or laboratory sections of Physics. This posting is intended to build a pool of qualified candidates for future teaching opportunities, as program needs vary from semester to semester. Adjunct faculty appointments are made on a course-by-course basis. If your academic background and expertise align with departmental needs, you may be contacted to discuss available assignments. This is a non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointment with no tenure eligibility. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and candidates will be contacted if an appropriate opportunity becomes available. North Central College is a nationally recognized institution of about 3000 students, located in Naperville, IL. The College is in a period of growth with the addition of a $60 million Science Center (2017), and a new Health Sciences and Engineering building (2020).
Requirements
- College-level teaching experience may be considered if possessing a master's degree.
Nice To Haves
- Ph.D. in physics, engineering, or an associated field is preferred.
- Teaching excellence is paramount.
