Muskegon Community College is seeking qualified candidates for Adjunct Instructors. The Adjunct Instructor Pools are for applicants interested in teaching in the future as a part-time adjunct instructor. These pools allow department chairs to view applicant materials in advance of a need and determine eligibility. If a part-time instructional need arises, the department chair will first review approved applicants. The role is responsible for instruction and facilitating student learning, committed to student recruitment, retention, and success. This includes assessment of learning, curriculum development, and utilizing both traditional and non-traditional instructional delivery methods. The primary instructor duties involve delivering the Michigan Community Health Worker Alliance curriculum, evaluating each segment, and working with the Internship Coordinator to ensure meaningful student experiences. Instructors are expected to be on-site and available during all classroom teaching time and may delegate responsibilities to guest speakers for enhanced learning.
