About The Position

Bergen Community College is accepting applications for adjunct positions in the division of Health Professions for Fall and Winter 2026. The mission of the nursing program at Bergen Community College is to educate students and graduates to pass the nursing licensure examination to assume an entry-level position as a registered nurse. Nursing students are actively involved as self-directed, responsible partners in the learning process. Students are educated in the classroom, in the nursing skills and simulation laboratories and in a variety of clinical settings. Depending on their schedules, students have the option to pursue a nursing day or nursing evening program. The program uses technology such as Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) and the Human Child and Adult Patient Simulators to enhance learning, skills mastery and critical thinking in the application of the nursing process. The nursing program is approved by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Current NJ RN License.
  • Three (3) years of current clinical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of college-level teaching in an accredited Nursing program or educator experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Nursing (Adult Med Surg) courses, including NUR-281 Cardiac & Respiratory for the Nursing Day program.
  • Teach Nursing (Adult Med Surg) courses, including NUR-183 Nursing Concepts and Skills for the Nursing Evening program.
  • Provide clinical instruction for nursing students.
