Naropa University’s Master in Public Administration (MPA) program seeks an experienced curriculum/content developer to design an online version of the three-credit course MPA 502: Leadership for Social Transformation during the fall 2026 course development cycle. This position is for developing the online content only, though there may be the opportunity for applicants to teach the course in a future semester. MPA 502: Leadership for Social Transformation Provides an overview of key philosophies and theories of ethical leadership for public administrators serving diverse constituencies. By analyzing various ethical frameworks and decision-making models, students will learn about the complex moral and ethical dilemmas faced by public administrators. Students will develop inclusive leadership skills that include cultural competence, social equity, and effective cross-cultural communication. Students will learn to champion diversity, promote justice, and uphold the public trust while navigating varied stakeholder interests. The format of this online asynchronous course includes but is not limited to: reading, video, audio, discussion, written and video assignments, experiential exercises, student learning partners, student-faculty meetings, self-directed research, and presentations. Intellectual property rights in academic work are as follows: For online course development that is part of Naropa’s curriculum, copyright in the content is granted to the faculty member(s) with a non-exclusive license for future use of the material granted to Naropa. This means that both the faculty and Naropa will have rights to use, amend, and/or modify the content in perpetuity. Compensation in the form of a stipend payable for this course development is outlined below.
