About The Position

Oakland Community College (OCC) is a large, multi-campus institution in Oakland County, Michigan, dedicated to providing accessible and affordable quality learning opportunities. Serving over 12,000 students, OCC is seeking Adjunct Faculty Instructors who are committed to diversity, shared responsibility, open communication, personal empowerment, integrity, and ethical commitment. Adjunct Faculty are expected to utilize modern technology in the classroom. Applications are accepted continuously for a candidate pool, and instructors are hired on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year based on enrollment. When a need arises, candidates from the pool are reviewed, and the Department will contact them directly. Candidates without legal residence in Michigan will be Edustaff employees, with employment offers, salary, and benefits provided by Edustaff, not OCC. Required attachments for application include a resume, cover letter, unofficial transcripts (showing degree conferral date), and any applicable licenses/certifications. Official transcripts are required within 30 days of hire.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mental Health/Social Work
  • Commitment to using modern technology in the classroom.

Responsibilities

  • Teach anticipated day and/or evening Mental Health/Social Work courses, ranging from basic to advanced skill levels.
  • Maintain and/or provide licensure and certifications where applicable.
