About The Position

Oakland Community College (OCC) is seeking Adjunct Faculty Instructors for Mechatronics courses. OCC is a student-centered community college in Oakland County, Michigan, dedicated to providing quality learning opportunities. As one of the largest community colleges in Michigan, OCC serves over 12,000 students across multiple campuses. Adjunct Faculty are expected to utilize modern technology in the classroom. Candidates not residing in Michigan will be Edustaff employees, with employment offers, salary, and benefits provided by Edustaff. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering/electrical engineering technology/related degree with a minimum of two (2) years documented industry/mechatronics experience
• OR Associate’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering technology or Associate’s degree in another field with additional course studies related to mechatronics (such as Journeyman certification course studies related to the mechanical or electrical engineering technology field) and a minimum of four (4) years of documented industry/mechatronics experience
• OR High School diploma or GED with a minimum of eight (8) years of documented industry experience in mechatronics

Nice To Haves

• Experience with multi-cultural students and staff preferred
• Ability to work as a team player in a multi-cultural working environment
• Online teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Teach anticipated day and/or evening Mechatronics courses, ranging from basic to advanced skill levels.
• Maintain and/or provide licensure and certifications where applicable.
