Part Time - Management Information Systems - Adjunct Lecturer
About The Position
Penn State Abington’s Business Program invites applications for adjunct instructor appointments in Management Information Systems beginning in August 2026 through December 2026. Continuation beyond this period is a possibility. The specific courses available are: MIS 250 - Introduction to Problem Solving with Spreadsheet Analysis and Information Systems Management, and MIS 431 Business Data Management. Classes for both courses can be held in-person and via Zoom with an asynchronous web session weekly (50% in person/Zoom, 50% asynchronous web). Students from other Penn State Campuses may be accessing these courses as well.
Requirements
- Completed a Doctoral degree in a business-related discipline (preferred).
- ABD or Masters level candidates will be considered.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduates (highly desirable).
- Relevant professional work experience (valuable).
- Commitment to helping all students succeed through engagement in and out of the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Teach MIS 250 - Introduction to Problem Solving with Spreadsheet Analysis and Information Systems Management.
- Teach MIS 431 Business Data Management.
- Conduct classes in-person and via Zoom with an asynchronous web session weekly.
- Engage with students from diverse backgrounds and help them succeed in and out of the classroom.
