The Physics and Astronomy Department at Barnard College seeks a part-time instructor to teach an undergraduate course during the 2026-2027 academic year. The course is PHYS BC 1881 - PreHealth Physics I, a lecture course in introductory, calculus-based physics. Subjects covered include 1d & 2d Kinematics, Forces, Newton’s Laws, Energy, Momentum, Rotational Dynamics, Gravitation, and Oscillations. The instructor will cover relevant sections of chapters 1-16 of Halliday, Resnick, & Walker, Fundamental of Physics, 12th edition. The course is scheduled for Tuesday/Thursday 8:40-9:55am.
