About The Position

The Anthropology Department at Barnard College seeks a part-time instructor to teach the undergraduate course ANTH 3932 Climate Change, Global Migration, and Human Rights in the Anthropocene during the Fall 2026 semester of the 2026-2027 academic year. Exact instructional assignments and other academic responsibilities are determined by the Chair or Director.

Requirements

  • Terminal degree in a related discipline, with all requirements for the degree completed by the time of hiring offer.
  • Submit a CV.
  • Submit a statement of interest, including teaching philosophy, most relevant prior teaching experience, and advanced pedagogical or relevant training.
  • Identify three references, including one with direct knowledge of teaching capabilities, for finalist consideration.
