About The Position

Stevens Institute of Technology is hiring an Adjunct Instructor to teach MGT 103: Introduction to Entrepreneurial Thinking during the Spring 2027 semester, from January through May 2027. Each section meets once a week for two hours, typically on Fridays. Approximately three additional hours per week are expected for grading and course logistics, for an estimated total of five to six hours weekly. This is a fixed-term assignment for the Spring 2027 semester; engagement in subsequent academic terms may be considered on a case-by-case, as-needed basis. MGT 103 is an introductory course for Engineering and some Science majors. It complements technical design courses with introductory business concepts that develop entrepreneurial thinking and students’ ability to communicate technical project work clearly. The interactive, project-based, experiential course emphasizes developing and identifying business models, finding product-market fit, tailoring solutions to specific problems, and directing customer discovery. Students take part in discussions, hands-on projects, case studies, and computer simulations. The instructor will teach course material under the direction of a faculty course coordinator, collaborating with other section instructors and receiving support from teaching assistants. The instructor is expected to work on campus with students, while completing tasks such as grading and providing feedback on student projects throughout the week. The position is suited to someone passionate about engineering education and interested in sharing that passion with others.
