Adjunct Instructor

UNC-Chapel Hill•Chapel Hill, NC

About The Position

The Department of Psychiatry at the UNC School of Medicine seeks a part-time, per-diem Adjunct Instructor to work in collaboration with the Child Medical Evaluation Program (CMEP). The instructor will conduct provider training on the Clinical Assessment of Protective Parenting (CAPP), administer the CAPP, and oversee program quality assurance. It is intended to identify factors that may make successful parenting difficult and, if unaddressed, could increase the risk of harm to children in the home. As part of a Child Welfare investigation, the CAPP provides information to support service planning. The primary role is to train, mentor, and consult with clinicians, primarily master’s-level social work or counseling professionals, who administer the CAPP during the Child Welfare investigative process. The instructor will also work with CMEP and Department of Psychiatry faculty in clinical, administrative, and organizational roles.
