About The Position

Adjunct instructor for Social Work courses for Methodist College. Responsibilities include providing instruction to students as delineated by course curriculum, participating in Methodist College’s Social Work program assessment, and evaluating student performance in accordance with course requirements, providing appropriate feedback to students in a timely manner. The role also involves preparing effectively for class, adhering to classroom protocol, responding to and evaluating student learning, grading assignments, submitting grades, establishing and maintaining office hours, participating in the annual College adjunct self-reflection and evaluation process, and effectively delivering required course content in learning management software.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction to students as delineated by course curriculum.
  • Participate in Methodist College’s Social Work program assessment.
  • Evaluate student performance in accordance with the course requirements and provide appropriate feedback to students in a timely manner.
  • Prepare effectively for class in a manner consistent with the course objectives and course outline.
  • Adhere to classroom protocol as established in Methodist College Faculty Handbook.
  • Respond to and evaluate student learning by appropriate means.
  • Grade papers, tests, projects and other assignments in a timely manner and gives appropriate feedback to students.
  • Submit grades to the Registrar at midterm and at the completion of the course.
  • Establish and maintains posted office hours to meet with students.
  • Participate in the annual College adjunct self-reflection and evaluation process.
  • Effectively deliver required course content in learning management software.
