About The Position

The Adjunct Instructor of French Horn teaches applied French Horn to undergraduate majors and non-majors at Oral Roberts University. The role also involves performing in faculty recitals, participating in student juries, recruiting and serving as a clinician at local and regional schools and music events, and attending department meetings as needed.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Music.
• Extensive experience as a French Horn performer and educator.
• Proven track record of teaching at the collegiate level.
• Strong understanding of instrumental pedagogy.

Responsibilities

• Teach applied French Horn to undergraduate majors and non-majors.
• Perform in solo and/or joint faculty recitals.
• Attend instrumental juries for the instructor’s students at the end of each semester.
• Actively recruit and serve as a clinician at local and regional high schools and music events.
• Attend department meetings as needed.
• Attend end-of-semester juries for applied French Horn students.
