About The Position

The Department of Biological Sciences seeks a qualified individual to teach Forensic Microscopy for students in the Forensic Science Program which is offered once a year. This posting is for the Fall 2026 semester. Course availability is dependent upon program or department teaching need, sufficient student enrollment, and college approval. As professional part-time faculty, Adjunct Instructors plan classes, implement learning objectives, evaluate student learning outcomes, and adhere to college, department, and division responsibilities, including holding regular office hours.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with professional expertise, certification, or licensure in forensics, microscopic trace materials, firearms evidence, or similar.
  • Experience in forensic science
  • One year of college-level teaching required.

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of experience with microanalysis of trace evidence (hair, paint, glass, fibers, soil, GSR) and bullet striations.
