Adjunct Instructor: Linguistics
About The Position
The Department of Linguistics at the University of North Texas (UNT) is seeking qualified individuals to teach undergraduate courses in Linguistics. This posting covers potential teaching assignments for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027. The role may involve instruction in introductory and general linguistics areas, as well as specialized topics such as sociolinguistics, semantics, phonetics and phonology, language and law, and teaching English as a second language applications. UNT has a diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken, and the department welcomes candidates with experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak various languages.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Linguistics
- Prior experience teaching as an assistant or instructor of record.

- Experience teaching or assisting in courses such as "Language of Now" and "Semantics and Pragmatics".
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in Linguistics in introductory and general areas.
