About The Position

The College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services (CNHHS) at Texas A&M University - Texarkana occasionally has openings for part-time adjunct instructors appointed on a per semester basis. Applying for a part-time teaching appointment in Kinesiology adds applicants to a pool which is available to the department for selection as needed for Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and/or Summer 2027. This role requires teaching Kinesiology course(s) in various modalities including face-to-face, web-enhanced, hybrid, or online. Courses may be conducted in different term lengths (5-week, 8-week, 10-week, or 16-week). Responsibilities include coordinating administrative duties such as grading student work, loading course content, meeting with students, and submitting grades in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or related field, including a minimum of 18 graduate level credit hours in the teaching discipline (for undergraduate courses).
  • Doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline, or closely related field, including a minimum of 18 graduate level credit hours in the teaching discipline (for graduate courses).
  • Degree and coursework must be obtained from a regionally accredited institution.

  • Copy of graduate level transcripts
  • At least two (2) professional references

Responsibilities

  • Teach Kinesiology course(s) in one or more of the following modalities: Face-to-face, web-enhanced, hybrid, or online.
  • Coordinate course administrative duties such as grading student work, loading all course content (assessments and lecture modules), meeting with students, submitting grades in a timely manner, meeting census and grade deadlines, and additional administrative duties as needed.
