About The Position

Continuing Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) at SAIT offers a wide range of programs designed to support lifelong learning, career advancement (through reskilling and upskilling) and customized talent development solutions for corporations. SAIT has partnered with the Solicitor General and Alberta Advanced Education to deliver H2S Alive Training at Calgary Correctional Centre (CCC). This instructional opportunity is scheduled to deliver in-person training on site at CCC. The tentative start date is November 2026 to August 2027. Programming will run Monday to Friday (with the exception of Statutory holidays), as a 2-day course with a maximum of 4 hours per day. Approximately 10 courses per year are anticipated. The ideal candidate would be a local authorized H2S Alive Provider. A Police Information Check is required as part of the onboarding process.

Requirements

• Certified H2S Alive Instructor with a minimum of 5 years teaching experience.
• Authorized H2S provider.
• Experience and fluency with Office 365 (MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
• Fluent in English reading and vocabulary.
• Comfortable speaking to the public.
• Positive & respectful attitude.
• Ability to read, interpret and deliver specific curriculum.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to organize and present written information.
• Police Information Check required.

Nice To Haves

• Training and knowledge of adult learning fundamentals.
• Formal training or education in facilitation or teaching.
• Formal training in online technologies.
