About The Position

Lakeland University, a liberal arts institution, seeks qualified adjunct instructors to teach Entrepreneurship courses beginning in the spring, 2027 term. The courses offered are BUS 230 Principles of Entrepreneurship, BUS 235 Entrepreneurship Studio, and BUS 302 Corporate Innovation. These courses are designed to provide students with an understanding of entrepreneurship principles, skills for starting and growing businesses, developing product prototypes, crafting marketing strategies, pitching to investors, and driving innovation within corporate environments. Classes are held face-to-face at Lakeland's Home Campus in Plymouth, WI, from January 19 - May 10, 2027, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:00-8:55 a.m.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in business
  • Extensive experience in setting up new businesses and entrepreneurship
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate courses in entrepreneurship.
  • Work with full-time faculty and deans to understand and employ activities that meet course learning objectives.
  • Administer and/or develop coursework (assignments, projects, in-class learning activities, exams) that meets and assesses course learning objectives.
  • Respond in a timely manner to calls or emails from students, colleagues, or supervisors.
  • Use university technology as directed.
