About The Position

The DSW Program is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach within its curriculum. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in areas such as applied research, social work theory, program evaluation, leadership, pedagogy, policy, nonprofit management, community engaged practice, or applied scholarship. This role involves teaching and potentially mentoring working professionals in online or synchronous learning environments.

Requirements

  • An earned DSW, PhD in Social Work, or closely related terminal degree is required.
  • Applicants should demonstrate expertise relevant to one or more areas of the DSW curriculum, including applied research, social work theory, program evaluation, leadership, pedagogy, policy, nonprofit management, community engaged practice, or applied scholarship.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of five years of post MSW professional experience in social work or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Prior university level teaching experience, particularly with graduate or doctoral students, is preferred.
  • Professional social work licensure is preferred when relevant to the applicant's area of teaching or practice.
  • Experience teaching and mentoring working professionals in online or synchronous learning environments is preferred.
