About The Position

The Department of Conducting & Ensembles at the University of North Texas is seeking qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor Pool for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters. The specific courses may vary, and openings will arise based on departmental needs. The anticipated need is to teach a 3-semester choral literature sequence and a conducting class for Master of Music students in conducting and related fields.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in choral conducting with knowledge of choral literature or a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours directly related to the assigned courses(s).
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.

Nice To Haves

  • Terminal degree in discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a 3-semester choral literature sequence.
  • Teach a conducting class for MM students in conducting and related fields.
