About The Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate data professional to join our team of adjunct instructors. We are accepting applications for individuals who meet our minimum qualifications and who can provide instruction within the area of Business Information Technology. We are specifically seeking an instructor to teach our new Prescriptive Analytics & Optimization course starting in August 2026. Pay will vary by course being taught.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field
  • Twenty-four months (4000 hours) of verifiable occupational experience; Occupational area, of which 2,000 hours shall be within the previous five years.
  • One year (2000 hours) of related experience in the appropriate field may be waived if the occupational instructor has at least two years of post-secondary teaching experience in the occupational field within the last five years.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to effectively deliver practical hands-on instruction
  • Must be accessible to students
  • Demonstrated ability and experience working with diverse populations
  • Working knowledge of computer concepts and incorporation of technology in the learning environment.
  • Must be a Wisconsin resident

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Five or more years of industry experience in data analytics or related field
  • Experience teaching or conducting training programs is beneficial
  • Previous teaching experience is desirable
  • Previous curriculum development experience is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Providing instruction to students within the assigned and approved instructional delivery system and in accordance with the mission, goals, policies and procedures of the District.
  • Providing an active learning environment to enable students to demonstrate course competencies.
  • Creating a student learning centered environment that places learning at the center of educational experiences in our classroom on the Pewaukee Campus.
  • Supporting students within our growing AI Implementation Specialist program.
  • Maintaining competency in the occupational field.
  • Working collaboratively with other colleagues and staff.
  • Delivering instruction using active learning methods which accommodate different learning styles including online modalities.
  • Planning, selecting, preparing and implementing appropriate active learning activities to meet all course competencies.
  • Developing, utilizing and/or updating course competencies and summaries.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with industry-related organizations and businesses.
  • Teaching traditional, accelerated and hybrid courses in the evening.
