About The Position

The Adjunct Global Campus Instructor position is a part-time, temporary adjunct employment opportunity. The Adjunct Global Campus Instructor member perform duties relating to online instruction including but not limited to posting faculty guidance and expectations, participating in classroom discussion boards, grading assignments, and promptly responding to student inquiries. This is an online adjunct teaching position, and other duties may be assigned according to experience and qualifications. The adjunct faculty member in College Reading Strategies will support students in developing the foundational reading and comprehension skills necessary for success in higher education. This role emphasizes teaching active reading strategies, critical thinking, and techniques for analyzing and synthesizing complex texts across disciplines. Faculty will guide students in improving reading fluency and applying study skills that enhance academic performance. The course equips students with the confidence and strategies to become independent, engaged readers who can navigate the demands of college-level coursework. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • Master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in Education, Reading/Literacy, English, Communication, Social Science, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching or tutoring in reading, literacy development, or academic support at the secondary or postsecondary level.

  • Doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution in Education, Reading/Literacy, English, or a closely related field.
  • College-level teaching experience in reading, literacy development, developmental education, or student success courses.
  • Experience teaching and supporting adult learners, including those in online or nontraditional educational settings.
  • Demonstrated success in integrating reading strategies with broader academic skills such as writing, studying, and critical analysis.
  • Evidence of scholarly or professional engagement in literacy, developmental education, or student success initiatives.

  • Enhance course content and resources to encourage student comprehension and application of course learning outcomes.
  • Participate in professional development as required.
