About The Position
Maine College of Health Professions, part of Central Maine Healthcare, is seeking Adjunct Faculty in Nursing. The adjunct faculty member ensures that course objectives are met by providing assigned lecture content, clinical experiences, and campus laboratory instruction. Faculty members also serve on the Maine College of Health Professions Leadership Team and represent leadership to students and nursing staff, providing expertise in clinical and educational endeavors. Compensation is $1,100 per credit hour. Employment is per diem with a variable shift.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited university or college.
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Maine, or documentation of pursuit of a Maine license. For remote instructors, RN licensure in the state of practice meets this requirement.
- Two or more years of professional nursing practice experience, preferably in the clinical area where student clinical laboratory experiences will occur.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer knowledge.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching experience in associate degree nursing education.
- Certification in a specialty area.
- Membership in professional nursing organization(s).
- Additional language skills.
