About The Position

Opportunity to teach two ECED courses. In Fall 2026, the course will be ECED 40305 Guidance and Assessment: Supporting All Children, which addresses the complexities of addressing individual student needs within the larger classroom setting. Strategies specific to guidance and assessment are examined to meet social/emotional and cognitive development needs and set the foundation for positive experiences in school. In Spring 2027, the course will be ECED 30202 Math & Science in the Early Years, focusing on instructional psychology and materials for effective teaching mathematics and science in preschool and early primary settings with a theoretical emphasis on cognitive development.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in education; Early Childhood
  • 4 years' experience teaching in grades K-3
  • Ability to Pass BCI/FBI Background check
  • Availability to teach in-person on the Salem campus of KSU.
  • Must pass a security check.

Nice To Haves

  • Ohio Elementary Teaching Licensure is a plus.
  • Prior experience teaching at the University level is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Teach ECED 40305 Guidance and Assessment: Supporting All Children in Fall 2026.
  • Teach ECED 30202 Math & Science in the Early Years in Spring 2027.
  • Communicate with others.
  • Travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
