About The Position
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at the University of New Hampshire, Durham seeks a qualified adjunct instructor to teach one course in the Fall 2026 semester. This is a temporary, part-time teaching position. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering undergraduate or graduate-level instruction in an area of CSD, supporting student learning, and upholding the academic standards of the department.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, or a related field.
- Evidence of academic or clinical expertise in the assigned subject area.
- Eligibility for state licensure or ASHA certification (CCC-SLP or CCC-A), if applicable to the course content.
Nice To Haves
- Ph.D., Ed.D., or clinical doctorate in CSD or a closely related field.
- Prior college-level teaching experience.
- Familiarity with ASHA standards and CAA-accredited program requirements.
- Experience with hybrid or online teaching environments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver course content, including lectures, assignments, and assessments, aligned with departmental and accreditation standards.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and maintain regular office hours or virtual availability.
- Submit grades and required reports in accordance with university deadlines and procedures.
- Use the university’s learning management system (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard) to support course delivery.
- Participate in required training, orientation, or departmental meetings as needed.
