About The Position

This role is responsible for teaching VISU 350 - Art and Design Process II. Students will continue to refine their self-directed line of inquiry in the Visual Studies major, including goals, outcomes, and context for their studio/design practice. Students will continue to refine their web presence, resume, and portfolio to reflect their professional practice. Students will engage in pre-production planning, and/or begin production on their thesis, and present a self-evaluation at the end of the semester.

Requirements

• A master’s degree that demonstrates expertise appropriate for teaching a course/s listed in this announcement OR a 4-year professional degree (BFA) in art or design and equivalent expertise, training and experience, with an appropriate record of professional creative achievement
• Professional portfolio demonstrating skills and experience in the curricular area
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Guiding students in refining their self-directed line of inquiry in the Visual Studies major, including goals, outcomes, and context for their studio/design practice.
• Assisting students in refining their web presence, resume, and portfolio to reflect their professional practice.
• Facilitating student engagement in pre-production planning and/or production on their thesis.
• Overseeing student self-evaluations at the end of the semester.
