The College of Humanities and Social Sciences offers fulfilling opportunities for adjunct faculty to teach part-time, in-person courses at our Phoenix campus. Course: Report Writing, Research, and Information Literacy in Behavioral Health This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the various documentation styles used in the behavioral health field. Students critically examine evidence-based research in the field of behavioral health. The course offers an introduction to conducting applied clinical research.

Requirements

  • Professional or Teaching experience required
  • Doctorate in Counseling Education OR
  • Counseling OR
  • Social Work OR
  • Marriage and Family Therapy OR
  • Behavioral Health OR
  • Mental Health OR
  • Clinical Psychology OR
  • Counseling Psychology
  • AND Associate or Independent level license in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology
  • AND a minimum of 1 year of field related experience
  • OR Master's in the above areas AND a minimum of 2 years of field related experience

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
